Dr. Sriparna Saha

Dr. Sriparna Saha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Patna. She is a distinguished researcher in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, with over 400 publications and significant contributions in areas such as multimodal information processing, biomedical text analytics, and optimization algorithms.

She received her M.Tech and Ph.D. from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, and has been honored with numerous prestigious awards, including the Google India Women in Engineering Award, NASI Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Award, SERB Women in Excellence Award, and the Lt. Rashi Roy Memorial Gold Medal. Dr. Saha has collaborated with leading research institutions across the world and serves on editorial boards of reputed international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition Letters.

Dr. Saha is actively involved in mentoring young researchers and promoting interdisciplinary research in AI and data science. Her work continues to inspire innovation and excellence in the field, contributing significantly to the advancement of intelligent systems and their real-world applications.

Dr. Arpita Chakraborty

Dr. Arpita Chakraborty is an accomplished academician and researcher in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Radio Networks, and Intelligent Systems. With a strong background in automation, wireless communication, and computational intelligence, she has contributed extensively through numerous research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. Her scholarly work reflects a deep commitment to innovation in emerging technologies such as quantum computing, expert systems, and next-generation communication networks.

Dr. Chakraborty holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, an M.Tech in Intelligent Automation and Robotics, and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Radio. She received the University Gold Medal from Jadavpur University for securing first rank in her M.Tech program — a testament to her academic excellence.

Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Radio, Wireless Sensor Networks, Optimization, and Quantum Computing. She has also co-authored a textbook titled Mastering Digital Electronics and serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for several reputed journals.

Beyond her academic achievements, Dr. Chakraborty is actively involved in guiding undergraduate and postgraduate research, fostering innovation in AI-driven technologies, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharyya is a globally recognized researcher, educator, and leader in the fields of Hybrid Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, Quantum Computing, and Multimedia Data Processing. He has authored or co-authored more than 400 research papers, 7 books, and co-edited over 100 international volumes. His research excellence is reflected in his numerous patents and international collaborations.

Dr. Bhattacharyya earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Optics & Optoelectronics and his Master’s degree in Optics & Optoelectronics from the University of Calcutta, receiving the University Gold Medal for academic excellence. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University. Over his distinguished career, he has held leadership positions including Principal of RCC Institute of Information Technology (Kolkata), Principal of Rajnagar Mahavidyalaya, and Professor of Computer Science at Christ University, Bangalore.

He is a recipient of several prestigious honors, including the Distinguished Professor Award and Distinguished HoD Award from the Computer Society of India, the SEARCC ICT Educator of the Year Award, and an Honorary Doctorate (D.Litt.) from the University of South America. He has been recognized as an ACM Distinguished Speaker, an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor, and was inducted into the People of ACM Hall of Fame.

Dr. Bhattacharyya is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (UK), IET (UK), IETE (India), IEI (India), and SCRS (India), among others. He currently serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Applied Soft Computing, Associate Editor for IEEE Access and IET Quantum Communications, and as Series Editor for several major academic publishers including Elsevier, CRC Press, De Gruyter, Springer, and IGI Global.

Beyond his academic pursuits, Dr. Bhattacharyya plays a pivotal role in professional organizations as the Founding President of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), Kolkata Chapter, and former Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, Kolkata Chapter. His lifelong dedication to advancing intelligent technologies and mentoring emerging scholars continues to make a lasting global impact on the AI and computing community.

Dr. M. Shamim Kaiser

Dr. M. Shamim Kaiser is a leading researcher and educator specializing in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Wireless Networks, Cognitive Radio, and Smart Healthcare systems. He has authored over 299 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, contributing significantly to fields such as big IoT data, neuroinformatics, and cybersecurity. 

Dr. Kaiser earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Applied Physics, Electronics & Communication Engineering from the University of Dhaka (2002, 2004) and completed his Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand (2010). He has held postdoctoral positions in the UK (Anglia Ruskin University) and special research appointment at Tohoku University, Japan. 

In addition to his research, Dr. Kaiser serves as Academic Editor of PLOS ONE, Associate Editor for IEEE Access and Cognitive Computation, and guest editor for several international journals.  He is also a senior member of IEEE and IEICE, and a founding chair of the IEEE Bangladesh Section Computer Society Chapter.

His commitment to innovation, mentorship, and interdisciplinary research continues to drive excellence in technology and information systems across Bangladesh and the international academic community.

Dr. Pawan Kamalkishor Ajmera

Dr. Pawan Kamalkishor Ajmera is a dedicated researcher and academic in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Biometrics, and Digital Signal & Image Processing. He has made significant contributions to speaker identification and related domains through his scholarly work.

He completed his B.E. in Industrial Electronics Engineering from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (2001), followed by an M.E. in Instrumentation Engineering from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University (2005). His Ph.D. in Electronics Engineering (2012) — on “Text Independent Speaker Identification: A Review and some Novel Techniques” — is from the same university.

At BITS Pilani, Dr. Ajmera teaches core courses such as Digital Design, Signals & Systems, Digital Signal Processing, and Medical Instrumentation. BITS Pilani He is active in guiding research in multimodal biometrics and serves as a mentor to doctoral candidates.

Beyond his teaching and supervision roles, Dr. Ajmera contributes to the academic community through publications, peer reviews, and participation in technical committees.

Dr. Prakash Choudhary

Dr. Prakash Choudhary is an expert in fields such as Information Retrieval, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Multilingual Text Recognition, Federated Learning, and Medical Imaging. His body of work includes research on lung segmentation, COVID-19 lesion segmentation, disease classification, and applications of deep learning in medical imaging.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from MNIT Jaipur, an M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from VNIT Nagpur, and a B.E. in Information Technology from Govt. Engineering College, Ajmer, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Dr. Choudhary has served in multiple academic roles: as Assistant Professor at NIT Hamirpur and NIT Manipur, before joining CURAJ as Associate Professor.

Dr. Choudhary has mentored 4 Ph.D. students and over 24 M.Tech/ME students to completion. He is actively engaged in editorial and peer review duties and contributes to the research community through publications in high-impact journals and conferences.

Dr. Somenath Chakraborty is a dedicated researcher and educator whose work spans areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Medical & Biomedical Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, and Data Analytics. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and book chapters, often serving as first author, and contributes as a reviewer and editor in several technical venues.

Dr. Chakraborty earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from The University of Southern Mississippi, USA. His academic journey includes an M.Tech in Information Technology and a B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, India. Before joining WVU Tech in August 2022, he held roles including Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Principal in various institutions in India.

He is a Senior Member of IEEE and is active in multiple IEEE societies including the Computer Society, Computational Intelligence Society, and Young Professionals. Beyond his scholarly efforts, Dr. Chakraborty is deeply engaged in mentoring students, organizing academic events, and fostering interdisciplinary research in AI, signal processing, and intelligent systems.
